Barry Ween, Boy Genius
The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius vol 2, #2; vol 3 #3

First, let me say that "The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius" is about the funniest comic series I've ever read, and you should go buy all the back issues immediately. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Oh, good, you're back. Weren't they great? <pause> Hmm...well, just in case you didn't decide to take my advice, here are a few images from the comics that even have a TG theme. Here, we see that Barry's best friend Jeremy has turned into a dinosaur by accidentally drinking something from Barry's lab. After first getting rid of his parents (by impersonating the baby sitter), Barry then gets to work on curing Jeremy by first creating a clone of his original body, but that turns out to be kind of a hit-and-miss sort of operation. In a later story we see Jeremy reminisce about the event, and also see Barry take some petty revenge on some military types who were threatening his school.

By the way, if you'd like to see more of Barry for free, the publisher (Oni Press) has a free download of the first comic on their website. There's no TG content, but it's still a fun read.

Transformation
Space Adventures Vol 1 #7 , July 1953

Here's an oldie. This sci-fi story from 1953 entitled "Transformation" tells the tale of a group of scientists who flee Earth to avoid a war. Unfortunately their landing goes horribly wrong...all but two of their number are killed in the crash, and they end up separated. As time passes, one scientist decides to undertake a really interesting project to relieve his boredom.

In this (mostly) imaginary story, Archie's mom wonders what life would be like if Archie were a girl instead of a boy.

Tomorrow Stories
Tomorrow Stories #6

In this off-the-wall story, the First American goes off in search of a romantic partner. Unfortunately, his luck isn't too good...the first woman he meets and marries (who he knows only as "Blonde Woman") divorces him, gets a sex change, renames herself "Blonde Transsexual," and goes off to live with F.A.'s partner, U.S. Angel. His second attempt with "Brunette Woman" is even more disastrous.

Being the First American
Tomorrow Stories #11

Yep, the First American and U.S. Angel are at it again. This time, in a parody of "Being John Malkovich," U.S. Angel discovers a door that allows her to take over the body of the First American, a power which she abuses immediately and frequently. However, once the First American discovers her scheme, he goes off in search of a door to her mind.

X-Men: War to Come
X-Men: Millennial Visions 2001

Here we have a book that suggests a variety of hypothetical X-Men plotlines. (You'd think with the dozens of X-Men series that are out there we'd have exhausted all of these already, wouldn't you? <grin>) In this offering, we see a future where Rogue absorbs Magneto's powers in a desperate attempt to stop him once and for all. Unfortunately, things don't work out as planned, and Magneto manages to usurp her body instead.

Kevin Tanaka
The Titans #38

Kevin Tanaka is a thirteen-year-old boy with the power to inhabit someone's body at any point after he has had physical contact with them. Some weeks prior to this sequence he took over the body of Epsilon, an evil metahuman. Choosing to remain in Epsilon's body, Kevin had joined the Titans and even began a romantic relationship with Argent, one of the female members of the team. Unfortunately, Kevin's hold over Epsilon eventually slipped, so the villain wastes no time in moving to take his revenge on the Titans--and Kevin. Here, we see Kevin forced to take over the body of the unconscious Argent to defend himself (which she is none too pleased about later).

Judge Dredd: Ladies' Night
AD 2000, 1987
Contributed anonymously

"Whimsical" is not generally a word one associates with the Judge Dredd comics. However, in this short story, we get to see three Judges (one of them male) go undercover as prostitutes to catch some armed robbers. Personally, I think he gets the cutest outfit. <grin>

Batman and Bobbin...err, Robin
Harley Quinn #1

Okay, technically this one isn't really TG, but I can't resist. In this short take from the Harley Quinn comic (featuring the Joker's dementedly funny girlfriend), we see a couple of actors portraying Batman and Robin--badly. The twist of course is that Robin is portrayed as a woman, playing on the joke about the appropriateness of the teenage sidekick's costume. (For an added bonus, we also get to see Bruce Wayne's reaction to this portrayal.)
